So i'm a big hitman fan going back to codename 47 on pc. I downloaded the free demo of season 1 and couldn't help but realize that the target in the 1st level only moves when certain actions are met, makes it feel as if it's scripted. Is the rest of the game like this or was this done for demonstration purposes? How different is this hitman gameplay wise compared to the old?
>>
I think they're less scripted but still scripted to an extent.

Eg a target in japan will do her normal route all around the hotel no matter what but certain actions make her change her route. Such as there's a sushi bar she goes to and even if she's far away when 47 gets the chef disguise and stands in position ready to poison her she will immediately start making her way over

Some aspects are scripted with triggers, some run on routines that repeat, some start running the second the level begins....and once you see the sheer magnitude of the proper levels, you'll understand why.

In all honesty the ICA training missions are fucking terrible and were a really poor choice for a demo, they should have just given people Paris.

The full game itself however is without a doubt the best Hitman game to date, even better than Bloodmoney, i've got a solid 20-50 hours of gameplay out of each and every level, the sandboxes they've created are immense and there's a metric fuck ton of content even outside of the actual missions, custom contracts, escalations etc

What did you except from a game that made you pay 60 bucks to wait 4 months each time for a new mission?

A pure SCAM.
>>
>>381648563

>to wait 4 months each time for a new mission?

Are you fucking retarded or merely pretending?
>>
>>381647074
Some targets will change their routing if you finish certain events. However, some of these events can trigger on their own if you don't interfere.

For example, in Paris there is a contractor that meets with Novikov. You can disguise yourself as a bodyguard and start the meeting with Novikov by escorting the contractor to the pavilion. However, if you wait long enough a real body-guard will pick up the contractor and the meeting happens without you.

They raised the price of the game just before the sale. Damn SEJew.
>>
>>381649267

Square Enix don't even own it anymore.
>>
>>381648563
1 every month like they promised, how is that a scam ?
>>
>>381649578

It's a scam because anon wasn't able to pirate it and that hurt his fee fees.
>>
>>381649267
It's cheaper than it ever was.
>>
There are events throughout the level but targets always travel around the place.
>>
What is the best hitman mission? Only reply if you've played Silent Assassin-Hitman 2016

I'm not reading this thread I just want to say if you like Blood Money you will probably love this game unless you go into it trying to hate it. Things are slightly different in a lot of ways but I don't care it's straight up fun and impressive and can see myself putting a tonne of hours in. Can't put it down. Don't worry about a little bit of scripted routes, worry about the billion FUN ways they give you to take out targets. It's FUN. It's a great sandbox and plays really smoothly desu.
>>
Taking out your target from the roof top is how the first mission is set up. It's a cool introductory mission that doesn't get repeated in the game forward on. It plays more on the typical assassin style rather than substance so that anyone could complete it and still enjoy it at a superficial level.
Rooftop sniping gets repeated in media and other games so it's really about setting up a concrete style for the series.

To give you an example, in a mission you can find some poison and find a note about a targets fave drink and then you can go mix the drink and add the poison and when all that is done he will come and get a drink. Do you really want to wait around while he does his long ass route through the building until he comes to the bar?
>>

that sounds cool as fuck

Beldingford Manor and Traditions of the Trade

>her

Interesting. I don't recall the other games having female targets.
>>
>>381651756

blood money did. the crow lady.
>>
Can you put your sniper rifle in a suitcase?
>>
>>381651756
play them again. the whole series has a lot of woman targets.
>>
I really like how you can trick some of the targets into actually killing your other targets for you.
>>
>>381651958
No

>>381650670
First St. Petersburg mission in 2 and beldingdord in 3. Cosplaying as soldier, killing a general with a dragunov and fucking off back to subway as soon as possible was cool af
>>
>>381651958
no, but every level has a carte blanche disguise that lets you carry one in the open without (most of) the guards caring. you can smuggle rifles into the levels at various locations.
>>
>>381651756
m8, BM had a lot of female targets because of The Franchise
>>
hitman 2016 is blood money on steroids. if you're a hitman fan and haven't picked it up yet now is the best time

one the biggest things TM is lacking is music, its so awful like they just bought it from a stock library. it's really sad coming from tracks like hong kong themes, 47 in st. petersburg, slaughterhouse, and apocalypse.
>>
I hope season 2 gets made
It's kind of shitty for IO to get shafted by Square just because square gives KH3 and FFIV a ridiculous amount of freeway in comparison to their more western focused games
>>
>>381652650
That's what you get without Kyd
>>
>>381652694
I believe they stated they're planning to continue development on chapter 2 after they broke from SE.
>>
>>381649267
their a newly independent studio that have just done post development layoffs you really blame them for upping the price?

>fucking buy their game
