This, the demo is fairly big and lets you carry progress over to the full game

if you don't like the demo you won't like the full game

There's also a F2P version but it's very limiting, don't bother.

Semi-open world, for single player anyway. You can also run super fast compared to the original Toukiden, so it's kinda fun to get around. Can also grab stuff like in Freedom Wars (not that it works as well as it did in FW).

Multiplayer is more standard choose a mission, get in 1 area, beat boss, go back to lobby. There's also some similar missions for Single Player that don't use free roam. MP content can be done by yourself (I imagine the online is already pretty dead, it was already when I quit playing 1 month after launch).

That aside, kinda a shame that some fights can be trivialized when you use a broken build, bosses can get stunlocked so hard. But a bit harder to do alone against most bosses, just a few it works on.
