I actually do like to be able to look inside. It's cool to step away, look in, and see something I built running beautifully.
It's also nice to hear guests compliment it in the dorm room. It looks cool. I spent a lot of money on it, and it's something I'm proud of.

This is my case, the naming scheme is pretty autistic and the light on the front is ridiculous but its like a mix of old and new school. Nice tool-less design and the metal meshes are pretty sweet.

All the lights and doodads that people put on their cases just come off to me as the people who put -TACTICAL BREACHING CLAYMORE-'s on their build.

Me, I just want mine to look as much like a smooth unfeeling box as possible. The less features on the outside the better. Just flat planes of metal.
Pic related is my case.
It's not quite the featureless box, but it's close, and actually has great airflow. Air coming out is cooler than going in, even when I'm gaming.

I like it.

I got this one, because it doesn't have any useless slots for optical drives, offers enough room for my water cooler and it's pretty nice looking. It also got pretty good air circulation partly because the wires can be hidden behind the metal plate that holds the mainboard.
