Is that just because of the 'triggers'? Because honestly otherwise it's the same shit. I never found the triggers much of an issue since they're intended for secondary usage. For dualshock 1-3 the bumpers are the main shoulder buttons, with triggers being secondary. Developers like rockstar just misunderstood and had default mapping to R2/L2 for shooting, when really R1/L1 were meant for shooting.

Also for driving games, the triggers were actually pretty good. Sort of like pedals. But obviously there was no reason why they couldn't be ergonomic for shooting either.

The Xbox controllers are great for FPS and the like, but are terrible for anything like a metroidvania or precision platformer due to a poor Dpad.

Honestly, out of all controllers I've held in my hand and played with, the elite controller is the best. Xbox One is the best modern controller and elite is the best of the best. It just has that simple weightiness that's missing from most plastic controllers and it has that needed customisability. It's only problem is really that it costs way too much.

Felt flimsy in my hands, you could hear the plastic bending and making these squeeky sounds. The anolog sticks also had of habit of getting loose or they start sticking at on direction. Worst part is that the controller would evetually start inputing other buttons randomly

They won't. People have been saying "Nintendo is doomed!" for 20 years and they are doing well right now, much better than 20 years ago. Wii U was a failure but 3DS made up for it and overall they have been turning a profit. They banked so much with Wii&DS the earliest they would run out of money is in the 2050s.
