>>381603971
flash sales went away because valve realised it was better for consumers to just have discounts carry on for the entire sale instead of arbitrarily making discounting them for a limited amount of time before putting them back up to a shitty discount price.
basically people would just wait until the last day of the sale just in case the games they wanted were going to appear in a flash sale. and if it didn't appear in a flash sale congrats you wasted your time when you could've been playing your games a week ago. with this system there's no waiting.
flash sale fags are literally seeing it with rose tinted glasses. falling for such low-tier consumer psychology bait.

>>381595705
rainworld is shit. the game is hard/challenging, but not in a fair way. monster/trap spawns are rng, so its entirely possible to die by no fault of your own. This is frustrating, because in order to advance through the game you have to make it from save point to save point without dieing in order to gain 'karma' points. You need those karma points to open doors. Die while exploring/advancing and you lose your karma points, and therefore even if you do successfully find the next area, you can not enter it. Therefore the game turns into a long, tedious grind of leveling up karma to open doors only to lose it to bad rng.

However I have 20 Steam bux and I'm hoping Shantae's game goes on sale for 10 bux so I can get that and another 10 dollar game
Nothing. I've never used Steam in my life. I don't understand the rationale behind so many gamers wanting to pay near retail value to rent DRM-laden digital releases that might require always-online validation and a backend software client that further raises a game's hardware requirements.
I have downloaded some GOG releases in the past, but I generally don't play much on PC.
>>381610927
>near retail value
But that's the whole point. 75% off is not near retail value.
If you're buying games for 25% off during a Steam sale, you're just doing it wrong, and might as well pay full price instead of waiting months for such a pathetic discount.

Alrighty, got it. Otherwise haven't seen much else worth buying besides those 3, would love some recommendations. I'm a bit Dark Souls 3 Player and also enjoy Rocket League a lot. Might get Nier at some point but way too expensive, does it even have PvP?
I remember getting RL for like $5 or something ridiculous and put over 600 hours into it thus far which is insane value. I bought DaS3 for like $55 on release through some deal I found and have almost 1.4k hours in it now and still play it every day doing nothing but invasions at various levels. I'm only really willing to pay full price tier money for stuff with great PvP multiplayer content, otherwise like to spend around the $10 range for single player games, maybe up to double that depending on how good the game is (mostly a combination of quantity of hours and quality of experience together). Shit like Fallout or Elder Scrolls, or Super Meat Boy, are good examples. Have high expectations for Hollow Knight, I've seen gameplay of it too and it looks awesome and sprawling.

Probably will load up another 30-40EUR and be done with it this summer sale.
>mfw this summer sale
>>381618823
why do piratefags always constantly talk about themselves and/or how they dont pay for x game ?
>>381618587
I was talking steam wise.
Should I?
>>381595370
0, yet

You see how you had to explain your joke as you were telling it? That's how you should have known it wasn't good or funny.
>>381595370

It's all shit.
>>381618787
Your GPU is safe until it hits 90+ at which it will just shut off
70-80 is fine even mid to high 80s
Dragon's Dogma, $11.99
Terraria, $4.99
Arx Fatalis, $1.24
Total of $18.22 so far but I'll probably get some more shit. My backlog is getting substantial and I don't have a lot of time these days to play games, but I buy more anyway.
>>381595370
$0
There's thing on my wish list that are on sale, I just don't really have any reason to buy them right now. Got plenty of other games to play.
0
Steam summer sales were cool like 8 years ago.
>>381619591
What are you thinking of blowing those neetbux on, anon?
0 rubles
I bought 3 games yesterday on my debit and it has yet to even be pending on my bank.
Did I get free games in the shit storm that was the launch of the summer sale or is this normal?
>>381619457
Actually the last time I pirated a game was back in 2012. I'm just a responsible consumer that doesn't pay for overcharged video game licenses on steam...
0, what's the point of getting games I'll never play
>>381595705
drop the void
0 since I only buy multiplayer games and I don't want to pay $37 for PUB

Spent around 70 bucks for games I've been wanting to get.

>Hollow Knight
>Company of Heroes
>Eschatos
>STASIS
>Elder Scrolls Oblivion
Did I do good /v/?
Nothing sale is shit
>>381620580
I'm gonna play it when I get a proper computer in a couple years anyway, I don't mind paying a few bucks extra for depreciation
>>381610331
>>381619723
Anonymous poster ABSOLUTELY BTFO!!!
>>381595370
0. But I didn't even know the summer sale had started, so the number might change
>>381595370
nothing so far
got gifted Monaco and FF14 though
Ten dollars. I bought this because Sniper Elite 2 was fun and hopefully shooting zombies with a sniper rifle with the zoom-in slow motion will be just as cathartic.
>>381595370
This (Deluxe Edition) plus Dr. Robotnik's MEan Bean Machine -- to complete my Genesis collection, because I'm a sperg -- and Knights of the Old Republic 2. I've actually never played it.
All in all, about $18.
>>381620638
lot's of good shit there
>>381617989
Gungeon is a pretty mediocre game with nice presntation
I haven't played any of the others except Metal Gear
If you gotta pick one, go with the other anon and buy MGR
>>381620469
>no Hollow kNight

BDO has been fun
>>381607196
Bitch sonic 3 is one of the best platformers of all time.
It was the last time the series was really worthy of praise
>>381617258
>Otherwise haven't seen much else worth buying besides those 3, would love some recommendations.
Anyone?
Anyone here uses Tabletop Simulator? it sounds too good to be true so many games for so little, but I'm afraid it will be a buggy and uncomfortable mess and my friends will hate it and not want to play with me ever again.
>>381621124
Sell me on BDO
>>381621110
>no Hollow K***ht
one job, anon...
>>381595370
0, bought PUBG just before it started though.
>>381619951
Thanks man, I appreciate it.
>>381595370
$0.00.Haven't played a single game on my PC since Bayonetta came out.
>>381621286
I've only played 3 or so hours but it's been fun combat thus far. I've only played one class, Sorceress. The customization on your waifu is pretty in depth. I think it's worth 8 bucks.I haven't played an MMO since WoW in 2009
only about 15 leaves. I'd also have gotten Mahvel if I weren't so broke
>>381622701
Wait a goddamn minute. This is an MMO with a ninja class and there are people who don't roll ninjas?
>>381623109
bruh you need to get it. it's cheap
>>381595370
-$2.17
I'm going to farm up as much card-autist money as I can before I actually start purchasing items.
>>381623232
I hate MMO's though. UO was the only good one. Darkfall would have been good if it had taken off but it didn't.
>>381623232
>>381623434
To further clarify, original UO was good. Like, in the 90's.
>>381623109
Bot Ninja and Kunoichi are bottom of the barrel, the balance in this game is horrendous.
Wizards can wipe an entire guild by themselves, Warriors can block 360 degrees, Dark Knights can nuke you from 2 screens away, Berserkers have like 4 health bars and if they touch you they lock you down from 100-0 without any kind of cc break. And the rest are all kinds of gimped. Some look really badass thou like the new martial artist.
$90, but I refunded $23 of it.
>>381595370

Poorfags have more money than me.
$40. Got Doom and Dirt Rally.
>>381595370

thinking of grabbing dishonored 2 but hearing reports that the game has incredibly shit performance on clockwork mansion and mission 5
$3
Bought the Stanley Parable, didnt see anything else in the store worth buying
>>381595370
hmmm.... I can easily afford it, but will it make me feel bad when I don't get around to playing some of these before the price drops further?
About 40 so far. Loving all of it
Help me out guys...
>>381624779
>HL
>Penumbra
>>381624663
I guess it depends on how guilt-prone you are but if you know you want them all and it won't fuck your shit up financially, I'd say just do it. This way you can play them in whatever order you like as the fancy strikes, without having to wait for the next sale.
around $66.
Called a refund on one, on account that it bugged out three separate times and I had to restart entire levels. It was also apparently short for what it was so had to nix it.
>>381624779
wouldn't get hatred, it looks like a threadbare top-down shooter that's high selling point is just being shock-value violence.
>>381600527

Blackwake please...
None, I'm up $90 from selling cards that have been sitting in my inventory for 3 years.
>>381624906
Thanks anon. Recommend anything else?
>>381624942
Definitely, going to remove it. I might pirate it though.
>>381624779
I just bought Arx Fatalis about half an hour ago myself. I've seen it discussed several times on here recently and always in a positive light. I figure for a buck and a quarter, what's the worst that can happen?
>>381624914
you're right, I can justify this to myself. /adds more games.
>>381625092
>>381625165
This is just my first like 5 minutes, but I couldn't figure out Arx Fatalis for the life of me. At least look up some gameplay videos of the game if you're interested in it. I couldn't figure out the controls.
>>381625092
>Recommend anything else?
For horror the same company made Amnesia The Dark Descent which isn't that extraordinary but still worth a play imo (don't bother with A Machine for Pigs, just don't) and SOMA which is absolutely definitely worth playing.
For shooter recs I wouldn't know since there are so many, I don't know which ones you already played and what are your tastes.
>>381625384
Ah, shit. I'm mostly a consolefag so I have these issues too sometimes with older PC games.
$75
I've pretty much ignored the last three summer sales, however I'm about to have some time to play a lot.
Can any of you niggers tell me which VNs have some actual gameplay, is Sundrider good?
>>381625732
>VNs
>gameplay
>>381625568
>Amnesia The Dark Descent
>SOMA
I'll pirate these.
>I don't know which ones you already played and what are your tastes
I don't care honestly, I'll play anything.
>>381625732
>niggers
Rude.
>>381595370
50 or so dollars
>>381625074
What cards?
>>381626194
you really should support soma. I dont care about amnesia but soma is a game that they deserve your money for.
i havent spent any money i always wait till the last day
>build a cart
>wait for things just incase they have a daily sale
>pick up anything else on the last day so you dont get fucked by a daily
>>381627779
steam trading cards
>>381627807
>wait for things
What do you mean?
I am probably gonna purchase everything on the last day.
>>381618215
Black ops II, DLC 2 and 4 (Being Mob of the Dead, and Origins) are treasured as the two greatest maps in all of zombies.
>>381595705
>the void got more expensive
>same with the black watchmen and momodora
now those are some good deals
>>381620683
You could just refund now and then buy it again when you have a better PC. By keeping it you're completely giving up the chance of using your money for something else. You seem dead set on getting it, but it's still nice to have it as an option you know?
>>381619557
holy fuck anon spoiler that shit
Like $27. Got Hyper Light Drifter, The Evil Within and Pavlov VR. Thinking about Automata.
>>381619557
The Rick and Morty game is okay but nowhere near worth $24. You would have to really be starved of VR content to pay that much for it.
>>381595370
~60$
not a lot of stuff cheap enough for me. also might be short on cash after next month so trying not to go overboard
I'm thinking of grabbing these. Should I pull the trigger?
>>381630750
>Killer Is Dead
no
>>381596982
Still thinking about picking hallow knight. Is it worth the $10?
>>381595370
Brutal Legend is $1.50
Both Bastion and Transistor are $2.99
Witcher 3 is under $23
Crosscode is on sale too
>>381630813
is it really that bad?
>>381630750
>Uncanny Valley
I mean, anon, I know you look for some indie gems but cmon. You even picked up HK and then there is UV nearby.. jesus.
>>381595370
none
no good sales, call me when dark souls 3 is 99¢
Zero.
I own everything I really want, and publishers stopped allowing real discounts on newish games a few years ago. Steam sales were always jewish trickery, but now they're not even trying to hide it.

i've been thinking on getting bayonetta, even though i'll need to run it at 720p on medium-low settings, on my toaster laptop
>>381595370
$7.50 got metro and last light rredux pack, i hope its fun
>>381595548
fucking excellent taste
$0
What else do I fucking need? I got all the games that interest me and the games I kind of want are still too expensive for me to give a shit about. Everything else is indie trash
I bought Abzu and The Beginners guide then promptly refunded beginners guide.
Most of the games I like are still a little too expensive, especially in canada.
>>381595520
Me to buddy, I feel the pain.
>>381595548
a fucking leaf would buy these shit games
>>381631032
I don't know why he said no, the game is pretty good but it's quite difficult. The boss fights are pretty good.
>>381595370
~$60 and i don't regret a single penny
>>381631563
How is it compared to NMH?
