I feel there's something inherently pleasant about caveman/dinosaur video games. But maybe it's just nostalgia talking, as most of the ones I like seem to be rather old. While games featuring dinosaurs and guns/lasers can be cool, they don't provide the homely feeling others do. I'm also not into social games (ark:survival and whatnot).

They do look comfy.
Savage time in reality tho.

I used to play a caveman game on amiga, I only remember it was a side scrolled and if you touched fire you flew up in the air with your ass on fire
Considering dinosaurs and humans never lived in the same age, those lose some of their magic.

>contains fantastical elements
>lose some of their magic.magic doesn't exist

EVO was pretty cool, the amount of grinding combined with the scarce checkpoints made it much harder to be appreciated though

I always find prehistoric games sort of sad because in the end, your MC's efforts will eventually be forgotten as oral retellings are distorted and cave paintings become misinterpreted/bulldozed over. Although it would be pretty cool if modern times found a primitive illustration of you and decided that you were a sun god or something like that.
