Oddworld was a cute game. You farted at trolls and they went HAY ABE and followed you. Abe rebelled against corporate reptilians who ran the planet like slavers. Was great. Yes it is. There are two original Oddworld games. One's called Oddworld: Abe's Odyssey, the other is called Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus. New & Tasty is a remake of Odyssey.

I'm inclined to say emulator because the in-game save system is pretty fucked up. Being able to use save-states will cut out the frustration of clearing a really hard secret area then dying a few screens ahead on the "main path" and having to redo everything.

I spent a year's worth of pocket money savings to buy a PS2 just to play this game, before finding out that it had been scrapped and rebuilt for the Xbox. I didn't even know what an Xbox was at the time. It made the two-second snippet of the old build included on the PS2 demo disc sting all the deeper.

I got a second-hand Xbox some eight years later, and needless to say, it was a disappointment.
