At what age did you finally drop western games entirely and focus

24 when DmC came out, it was shit and I realized it was made by britbons

25 after I realized most of the creative energy and focus in the west had moved to MMOs and money-grabs whereas the Japs still had at least some idea of making good games for the sake of it

Never. I play what looks good to me independently of country of origin. I do admit that i tend to like japanese game with more frequency.

It was the opposite for me. I used to be a weeabo and loved to play JRPGs when I was younger because they were very easy but then I grew up and got into PC gaming and I discovered how much more fun FPS games were. Never looked back.
Some Japanese games are ok though, like Zone of the Enders and Metal Gear Solid.
But I'll never touch Final Fantasy again.
