I never try to endlessly set up a turret with him. It's a fruitless endeavor. I focus more on his main weapon since it's actually pretty fucking good and throwing down the armor.

It's just that it's his turret that's the issue. It can be good but placement is a bitch and after just running around placing armor packs down and shooting people I slowly begin to realize I'd be far more effective as Soldier 76 or basically anyone else.

With Ana and Lucio nerfed, dive comps being standard, and Mercy being buffed, Mercy is unfortunately the best support in the game right now. I hate it because she's such a stupid braindead character, but until they nerf her again she's going to be a mandatory pick at every level below pro. But heres the thing. The fucking rez never happens. Either they are 1.) Saving the ult till the whole team is dead so that they can get the POTG or 2.) They are always dead before any skirmish can happen because of shit positioning.

I ain't saying that Mercy's rez is useless and frankly she's one of the few characters that can turn the tide of a battle. And yes I do agree that if a team cannot win back after a rez, they do not deserve to win at all. But just having to hope for one that knows how and when to rez is such a liability that it's almost like hoping that one Hanzo on your team is one of those crazy good koreans and not a shitter.

tl;dr: Only a handful of people really knows how to play Mercy and the rest are just shitters with hundreds of excuses, compared to other mains.

The fact that a pro player was capable of losing at all in those tiers, speaks to how difficult it is to actually carry. If you're say...a plat player, or a diamond player, you'll win a lot at bronze but as you make your way back up you're gonna run into some road blocks because while you may be good, if you're at plat or diamond you are still learning the game so the ability to solo carry isn't as strong there.
