Does /v/ play a game if they don't own all the DLC for it?
I always feel like I'm missing out even if it's just cosmetics. It's the reason why I always buy GoTY editions or complete packs.
I've grown completely indifferent to DLC, I don't even care to check what's available.
Even free DLC looks unappealing, it's often literally cheats like giving you a powerful weapon early on.

Yes, that's why I always wait for the GotY or for the entire thing to go for sale for less than 20€.

>buy base game
>pirate all DLC
>drag DLC into the game folder
>get all Steam benefits while getting free DLC

Dark Souls 2
There's some games where I specifically decided that I wouldn't buy any of the DLC, as most of it just seemed worthless.
It's what I did with Saints Row 3.
I never buy DLC and I'm against free DLC too. Release a full game and then do not change the content.

It's super common on single player games that have a lot of DLC, lots of the free stuff is typically there to lure you into checking the other DLC, and is just crap like early materials, money and stuff that ends up ruining the pacing/difficulty until you finally get better stuff late game.
Even if it's free, I'd rather not have it.

>want to replay old game
>reinstall it
>try to load old save
>save won't load because of missing dlc
>have to download like 20 packs of free junk that you didn't really want but downloaded because it was FREEE
>3 packs aren't even there anymore
>can't even find anywhere to pirate that DLC either
