I own the game with like 60 hours in it.
It was fun for a bit but honestly, besides the many destructable things, it's really just the same as everything else.

I like it, but its nothing special.
hit detection is still deplorable, and we're merely talking abou a 5v5 game.
3 speed operators are still the best and overall balance is thrown out of the window.
client side smoke, debris, destruction etc.. is totally unacceptable in a "competitive" game.
it has potential but it has been out for 1½ yo, and its being worked on by a skeleton crew.

You spawn in teams of 5, people wanting to place a bomb/the hostage and people trying to disarm the bomb/save the hostage (CS:GO)
A few unique characters on each side, pretty much OW, except they have unique ones for each side. Besides, barely anyone is still talking about it, there's a few good SWAT games coming soon anyway.

Just power through your rank placement. You'll have more fun with the game. I played casual for a long time just because I was afraid of ranked but now that I'm placed I'm having way more fun with the game. Now you don't get absolutely curb stomped or absolutely dominate randomly every game.

Whole games are a lot longer, sure

but individual rounds are way faster due to the clock and everyone acknowledging that your best bets at winning are catching people with their hands down, leading to a far more fun round to round experience

It's fair enough if you aint into that though, to each their own
