Since I started playing League of Legends, I've noticed I'm the one being quite toxic, geting pissy with other players and cursing them for not pulling their weight.
The game itself is quite fun but it needs you to rely on other players, who may or may not suck, to win. Unless you're personally exceptional or have some exceptional players.
Now the game can't punish you for being bad because that'd be silly but it can punish you for giving up and not supporting the team but the punishments are personal/off-screen ie you have to wait longer before you can play again. The problem with that is it's a punishment only to you easily bypassed so the people who are mad at you continue to stay angry.
Yesterday I had a game where 3 guys didn't bother doing anything and I got tired of fighting a losing battle and closed the game. I got punished for it and have to wait an extra 5 minutes before my next few games. I'm sure they have the same punishment but it's completely disproportional.
Anyway, I'm going to uninstall the game because I don't want to be one of those dicks yelling at faceless people in a video game.
