Are the Legacy of Kain games worth getting into? I keep hearing

They are more than worth an attempt at playing through them. If they feel too old and clunky then watch a walkthrough on YouTube.

The franchise has the greatest writing, dialogue, story, characters, voice acting, and continuity in existence. You will not find a game that does these elements better than LoK.

It has never been a series known for its gameplay, so it does require a great effort to play through the series due to how poorly they have aged. On some PCs they do not even run.

The games are now very aged though the story is the most intricate I've ever seen in a game.
I've owned them all for years and played through them multiple times and always enjoyed them. However if you either don't really understand the complications of time travel or like having the final game left as a cliff hanger....

Just play it anon, Soul Reaver 2 is pretty much the best game I ever played and the first one where I cried like a bitch at the end.

Does Soul Reaver 2 run well on modern hardware/windows 10?
I'm planning on buying a copy on PC.
Also is Blood Omen necessary for SR2? I played it a bit but dropped it though I guess I can still pick it up as I'm not too far into (the part where moebius/oracle sends you to Vorador's mansion, I think).
