The PS4 finally gets it's first real rhythm game. Are you going to pick it up?

Probably.

Is it fun to play without the drum?
I Guess I could use my arcade stick instead.

It has a drum controller if you buy it physical.
Never played one of these, but are these a NEVER EVER in terms of localization? Not that importing is a big deal, but is it a literal 0% chance for release outside of Japan?

Yeah, but for a "small" $$$ extra I'm sure.
Availability will also be a problem
I'm not going to spend that much money on a game I don't know I'll like, so I ask again, is it fun to play without the drum?
>>381421806
It's very unlikely, the problem is that it's a licencing nightmare.

God I love this game but it's so fucking hard
You legitimately need to learn how to play these cultural drums to be good at this game, without maybe the physical exertion that the real Asian drummers use. But the co-ordination and shit, it's next level. I always get into it then give up because it demands too much practise
does it come with a drum peripheral
>>381421821
Honestly no. I've never had fun playing a taiko game on anything other than the drums.
but future tone
>>381422220
Yes.
>>381421821
It's fun, but the particularly harder songs require the drum. Physically impossible otherwise. You need the dynamic of having two sticks in your hand for songs that are super fast.

is it likely that this will see a western release?
>>381422613
I doubt it. Only one of the games was localized I think.
