I think they mentioned some kind of subscription option too but I haven't looked into it so much because I can already play all the good games on the original consoles and the bad ones on emulators using an actual controller and not a shitty phone

Why would you want this service on platforms that have access to stuff like TVs and controllers? Equipment people who'd want this service would like to use?

How was not offering this is a PC application/Console App not the first thing they did?

There are two very interesting things about this announcement.
They stated every they would release games from every Sega console generation. This would include Sega Saturn and Dreamcast games.
There's also this little nugget from an interview.
>About 90% of the games so far are in Unity. The reason we chose Unity as middleware is it enables us to take this content to other platforms as well. So my first focus is mobile. It's a huge project and what I really want to do is get mobile right. After this, there are options: we can look at desktop, Facebook, we could even take these games to consoles like Switch.
I know that Unity is a bit of red flag but I welcome the idea of Sega releasing very low-cost versions of Sega Saturn games and Dreamcast games on current consoles.
