Was Mario Kart 8's Rainbow Road so bad they use the 64 one for advisement?

It's brighter and more colorful.

I'm sure it's a cosmetic choice. The N64 version looks prettier, so might as well make it front and center.

Gee Bill, how come Nintendo let you have three rainbow roads?
>>381403269
64 RR should have been at least 2 laps.
Its not that long of a track to just have one
>>381403339
This, it's more obviously Rainbow Road than the 8 one. The one from 8 is indeed bad though.
>>381404391
This is also true, it's a shame they forgot they could make 2-lap courses after Wario Colosseum.

No joke, the trailer that revealed N64 Rainbow Road hit me in the nostalgia so much I teared up and finally caved on wanting to buy MK8 after ignoring the game up until that point.
At least 8's incarnation of 64's RR isn't as completely terrible as it originally was
Give me 64's Track with 8's version of the song and you have the perfect rainbow road.

Gotta have that nostalgiafag pandering

>Preffering super long bland circuit with bad rainbow texture on the floor, with block background to the Fucking Party and fun that is the MK8 version.
Why?
>>381403269
The 64 one was more iconic to use because it's whimsical. A space station is interesting, but it's not what people think of when they hear "Rainbow Road"

Doesnt matterWario Mountin is the best course
This it's literaly the best mario kart track with >>381408853 second.
thinking of picking up this game next week, how is the online?
>>381409469
It's really great. The online of Mario kart 8 on wii u was perfect and most people who also played splatoon wonder why if it was the same team, splatoon had so many errors and disconnects. you will have fun.
I'm hardly expecting a fair answer given how feral I've found Nintendo fans to be with the Switch (god forbid I say I don't like one game), but I'll try anyway.
Is ARMS likely to die? I want to pick it up, but not for £45 and I know Nintendo games are terrible for never having a price drop. I feel like I need another set of Joycons to really make the most of it, but it's a lot of money given that I've just bought a console and two games.
