I just don't believe there are any really good games out there right now...

I don't like competitive games (FPS, MOBA, etc.) because they rely on you playing the same boring game with the same tried and true mechanics over and over and over with no change-up until big dlc or releases come out.
most other types of games are uninspired rpg's, normie movie games with little input from the player besides watching, brainless shooters, and other mainstream garbage.

I just got ARMS and while it's a new way of competing in vidya I got bored in the testpunch and shouldn't have pre-orderd. I'm literally afk'ing in online matches to grind for coins to get new arms cause Im a completionist.

The only games I really bother with are first party nintendo games, souls games, monster hunter (which worlds is gonna fucking ruin), SMT/Persona, and indies that really stand out (hollow knight, undertale, LISA, etc.). And those aren't that frequent.

I might buy Splatoon 2 because my friend swear by the series and Mario XCOM. but I feel like my overall time playing vidya has decreased significantly.

Look, I don't know what to tell you- after dying to the fucking elites in Dead Cells for the umpteenth time, I find I sort of need a pause before trying again.

Teleportation and extra attack speed is a mean combo, man. It basically makes a lot of the cooler heavier weapons unusable against them, and it's not like anything really interrupts their attacks...
