Wouldn't it be Metroid 3.5? It'd essentially a sequel to Metroid 3/Super Metroid after all. Also ignoring the story the Producer (Kensuke Tanabe) for the Prime series had no part in this, right? So it wouldn't even be Prime 4 from a development stand-point.

I'm pretty sure it takes place inbetween Super Metroid (metroid 3) and Fusion (metroid 4). The Prime games are in a way defrent time period. Not only that Other M isn't cannon fuck off.
