It pioneered rhythm games and should be recognized for doing so, but there's been games that have far surpassed it in terms of gameplay.
Lammy is a step in the right direction, PaRappa 2 takes the formula and just makes it much better, but something like Gitaroo Man is on a whole 'nother level.
