Don't think Wii does the component cables right, but getting the right GC cables would probably cost more than the Wii and there are way more hoops to jump through for modding.

Wii for extra cheap, Dolphin for spending money on it, Q and a bunch of other retro BS for wasting money on it.

you can get a cheap pc on on the go as long as you get a i5 and a gpu that came out in the last ten years will get you 1080p and the best sound its very cheap to get dolphin running nicely, you a gamer for life im sure at some point you find the money to fund your vidya for now dont worry about playing the games the best you can just get wii cfw it and you sorted

Play them on a Wii U with nintendont, that's the only way to natively play gamecube games with HDMI.
Or emulate with Dolphin.

Orginal release GameCube with component output. Alot of Gamecube titles also have Dolby Pro Logic II support so any THX certified speakers should do the trick
