Not gonna lie, I just got my switch a few days ago but I'm pretty disappointed with ARMS. This shit feels like a big mini-game; There's really no depth or complexity of any sort to it. Jump, dash, punch, and that's pretty much 90% of it.

His stupid boomerangs aren't even special, it's still just a punch, but with a slight gimmick to it that doesn't even change the playstyle any because you still have to largely punch the same exact way you would with anyone else to score a hit with the things.

I'm a huge Nintendo/PC fanboy, and even I'll agree ARMS is disappointing. It favors defensive play WAY too much so the strategy comes down to pinging a few hits on your enemy then dodging until time runs out. I could see a fun game coming out of it but it either needs to be patched or get a sequel that fixes how easy it is to dodge with dashes/jumps.

That said, you SHOULD be hyped for Splatoon 2. Splatoon gameplay is legit fun as fuck, along with being actually incredibly unique. The whole squid/ink shit is downright genius, the weapons are fun and crazy, and the ranked modes actually get intense. Add on Salmon Run which wasn't even in the original and you have some good shit. The singleplayer is looking great too.
