silly question but am i crazy for spending $75 on a mice? i know "gaming" gear get shit on all the time on /v/ but the reviews seem to be good
>>
If you're going to spend that much, get a MMO mouse at least for the buttons, The Logitech G600 hasn't let me down
>>
>>381362094
No, its a good mouse, and flawless implementation of wireless technology, if you wen't for something like a razer mamba for 100 it would be retarded
>>
>>381362094
There isn't much difference between a 5$ mouse and a 60$ mouse besides meme aesthetics
>>
>>381362094
I tried that mouse and the scroll wheel button requires a lot of force to activate, didn't like it so I returned it.
>>
>>381362094
No, I spent $99 on the best mouse I've ever owned. It wasn't a logitech though, so I wouldn't spend $75 on THAT mouse, imo.

gaming gear is all shit save for mice
a good optical sensor will take you places, especially in fps games
>>
>>381362094
>i know "gaming" gear get shit on all the time on /v/
Because it is shit.

REALLY good mouse is never from "le gaming series" and they are close to 200$

ignore this poster
mmo mouses are the worst

Why do you say this?

shit sensor and form
uncomfortable to use
>>
yeah man your k/d will go sky high after you buy one of those
>>
it has same sensor as 403, 502, and gpro so just know you are paying extra for the wheel, buttons, and I think it comes with weights too

wether it's worth it to you depends on if you actually need the extra stuff

If not I would just get a cheaper model
>>
>>381362094
Just get a solid mionix mouse don't waste your money on maymay gaming shit.
>>
>>381362094
It'll give the edge you need.

Depends on the mouse

I shelled out for a G Pro on a whim and it's the best mouse purchase I've ever made. Small, agile, extremely precise, well placed side buttons, sits well in the hand. 10/10 mouse, didn't realise how shit Razer Deathadders are until I replaced mine with this thing.
>>
>>381362094
Some gaming gear is legit high quality. You just need to separate the wheat from the chaff with research. That mouse probably actually has a nice sensor in it, the most important part of a mouse. Extra buttons are often useful, "customizing" stuff is usually shit.

>>381363858
>it has same sensor as 403, 502, and gpro so just know you are paying extra for the wheel, buttons, and I think it comes with weights too

Listen to this guy. The sensor is the key.

>>381362491
You don't know shit.
>>
>>381364264
>i don't know shit
Tell me how I am wrong. Is the optical sensor in it "10% better"?
>>
>>381364085
Well, I went to far, yes, but 75$ for a mouse is shit

Someone post that /g/ image
>>
No, I got a g502 and its amazing. Also, its basically a one time purchase. You're not gonna really need a new mouse
>>
>>381364442
Shit sensors will have horrible angle snapping, potentially skipping at high speed as well as low DPI and polling rate.

>>

what
>potentially skipping at high speed
never had this problem
>low dpi
There are cheap mouses that you can change the DPI with
>polling rate
Oh wow that one milisecond that my brain cannot even detect is going to make all the difference
>>
>>381365012
>what

If you don't know what angle snapping is you have done zero research on the subject of mouse sensors and should just shut the fuck up.

>There are cheap mouses that you can change the DPI with

That get horrible jitter if you actually use the high DPI setting.
>>
>>381365296
>hurr durr if you don't know memes you are stoopid
>horrible jitter
I have a DPI changing mouse and I have no jitter at all and it was 10$

You're just trying to justify a purchase for an overpriced aesthetically pleasing object that you cover up with your hand while you jerk off to anime

I am now back to regular mice.
>>
>>381365585

Are you retarded? Stop being so upset you're a poorfag and have inferior technology correspondingly. Also, stop being so ignorant, do some research on the subject because clearly you've done none. Also look up what a "flawless" sensor is.

>>
>>381362094
>a mice
Spend $75 on a train ticket back to your home country and never come back
>>
Well I can tell you the G403 is fairly cheaply built and has the same exact sensor / wireless capabilities. Pretty good besides the first TWO I had were defective in different ways. Well worth $35 from a pricing error, I even kept the second one because they forgot to ask for it back.

Maybe the G900 has less springy buttons or a better chance of a decent wheel? It's a pretty good mouse, the 403 model, but it's luck of the draw even today to get one without problems. May or may not be your preferred shape but I guess it's a fairly standard form factor, my previous mouse was the one that was obtuse (G400).

Oh and the wireless on these is really nice. I can imagine this sale price is going to be common in the future looking at the sale history so just try to do your research to find out if it's actually what you want. It's a pretty unattractive mouse with the retarded lights turned off (which is required if you want any battery life).

I personally wouldn't pay $75 for a mouse like this unless I knew it was some really good shit which I can't say if it is. But really you should always spend as much you can (within reason) on things you use constantly like audio equipment, seating, and human interface devices.

I rather put money into upgrading parts of my PC rather than have a mouse thats 10% "better"
>>
>>381366374
>being this insanely retarded

Angle snapping is a BAD thing, idiot. A flawless, ideal sensor has NO snapping, assists or predictions. Your $10 trash mouse has those assists and snapping, that you can't disable. End your life, anon.
>>
just get a G502 on sale for 40$. great mouse

>>381367353
Then there is absolutely no reason to spend more than 30$ on a mouse other than meme aesthetics
>>
>>381367563
Not entirely true, a flawless sensor mouse that is $30 likely won't have as many buttons or as well placed buttons as a more expensive mouse, it will also likely have lower DPI (because higher quality sensors can take higher DPI while still remaining flawless.) But if you're not interested in more than LMB and RMB, a $22 Logitch G100S is all you need.

Can someone recommend me one with multiple buttons to play wow?
My razer naga is 6 years old and it's pretty busted.
>>
The only things you need to worry about when it comes to mice are: fits your hand, clicks and scrolls comfortably, at least five buttons, adjustable DPI, reasonably solid build quality, and wired. If you prefer wireless mice, switch to wired mice or jump off a bridge. Wireless devices are cancer.
>>
>>381369121
Look at the mice on this list, many of them have extra buttons and are cheap.

What do us soft, lucious, smooth, comforting baby hands get? A G Pro?
>>
Get a g102 or a g203. Those two mice launched with another version titled the gpro but literally all three of the mice are the exact same. The 102, which is the cheapest has a braided cable as well. The cheapest one is the best of the 3 identical mice.

get a hand full of gravel and rub it between your hands sissy your palm should feel like its made of leather gayboy
>>

You can spend 32$ on a Logitech with a bunch of buttons and great sensor.

MY issue is finding a fucking headset with good audio quality, I need my music in top gear and decent mic, been stuck using Razors because I can't find any that are just as good audio wise but these shits break in a year, my current one CAME fucking busted. Never use Razor. Gaming shit is a meme.

>>
My brother got me a G502, and it's such a poorly-shaped piece of shit I developed trigger finger while using it.

Fucking ""gaming"" mice.
>>
>>381372024
my g300 is like 6 years old
>>
>>381372127
Not necessarily. In some ways, using low DPI and a huge mouse pad, moving the mouse with your arm, is best. However, low quality sensors can't handle high(er) DPI, so a mouse only being 500 DPI is an indicator that it's a low quality sensor.
>>
>>381372185
What do you mean by trigger finger?

I've had the same mouse for a while and I like it
>>
>>381372508
Gotcha. I use the g502 myself, and after playing around with my DPI for a while I found 500 to be to my liking for normal pc use. Plus ts made aiming in fps so much easier.
>>
The best way to figure it out is to ask a few simple questions.

"Does this thing do everything I want it to?"
"Does it do so as cheaply as possible?"

If the answer to either question is no, then you're probably better off continuing to look for a solution.
>>
>>381363007
all you need is to know the part number of good sensors and not be a cretin

pixart 3310-3360-3366 for example are flawless

>idiots buying laser mice
