I really still don't get it. All this console war schlock, all this "my corporation is better than your corporation" garbage. Truth of the matter is that from what I've seen, /v/ isn't primarily Nintenbros or Sonybros. Not even PC cucks outweigh the board. You know what DOES outweigh the board though? Japanese-produced games. Big surprise there, considering 4chan is an anime image board. The difference I see is that even though the more annoying Sony shills will jump up and down about how Horizon is better than BotW, I almost never see Horizon threads discussing specific scenes or parts of the game. It's almost like the fact that Horizon is better than Zelda is more important than anything actually in Horizon itself. Meanwhile, Persona 5, Nier Automata, and yes, even BotW threads tend to discuss specific moments within the game. Sure some derail into console war territory, but it'susuallynot the OP's intention.
This probably isn't some grand revelation to any of you, but I'm curious what you all have to say on the matter.
Because if /vint/ taught me something is that this place is filled with 3rd worlders that can only afford one console or one "good" PC

So then they feel the need to dump on games for whatever console they don't own? Does brand loyalty really run that deep? I don't own a single console made after 2012, but it doesn't prevent me from acknowledging that both PS4 and Switch have some really fun looking games that I'd like to play eventually. I guess I'm slightly leaning towards Switch, so I'm hoping stuff like Nier and Kingdom Hearts ends up there, but I'm not going to go out of the way to badmouth either console just because it has good games.
