So why exactly did everyone hate on this version of CoD?
I don't play the CoD series since they all seemed like the most barebones of FPS on the market, but Infinite Warfare is the most exciting looking one (by CoD standards, that is).
Yet, I've heard so many people saying that this one is bad and are glad to see a return to non-futuristic settings.

Why do people hate futuristic sci-fi settings?

COD4 was the one that made the series popular so people just prefer modern day or WW2 over futuristic fantasy

Try playing COD4 remastered you'll see why.
Everyone is camping in random corners and headglitching with m16. Even on PC.
Playing it normally (rushing) like before in 2007 is impossible. Sniping on the other side is better than ever.
