I think I grew out of them. I play old things a few hours a week just to get off on nostalgia, but new games just bore me instantly. I still post on /v/ because I've got nowhere else to turn to, usually I just pretend and shitpost about games I never played.

I think similar to you, but it's more like the games did not grow up with me. There's no games that challenge me or have more sophisticated gameplay since every dev tries to appeal to everyone instead of a niche crowd. I don't have a Mario Bros 3, a true FF, a Splinter Cell, a MGS not destroyed by open world bs, no charming obscure adventure game with more worlds and doesn't treat me like a child, none of the quality gameplay from the 90s or 00s. Instead, just trash. All of it is trash.

Because it takes a while for me to find a game I enjoy playing. Today I tried out Rime and quit after 20 mins from boredom, headache and the hot weather.
