it's a PSP game, Vita just can run it natively.
No idea about it though. I played it on PS3 myself, used the Transfarring like once for the lulz. I co-opped some missions and fooled around in Versus with a IRL friend of mine, and it was great.

Personally I found it perfectly playable and fun all alone as well. Co-opping can be big help in some of the non-stealthable bosses and such, but main missions you can easily run through like a ghost with little practice. Extra players can easily ruin perfect stealth runs.

Plus, the controls and framerate are way worse on the portable machines. Literally locked 20fps, and no dual-analogs.

Fuck, really? The multiplayer was so damn small, but destroying the shit out of robots was a lot of fun.
Even the bullshit versus mode was a lot of fun.

That's how you usually set up games with older games. I know there's fans for this stuff, as many were very disappointed of MGS5 and its total lack of co-op.
