Breath of the Wild is a Switch game ported to the Wii U, not the other way around. So technically the Switch version isn't a port.

There are also plenty that aren't ports but just aren't good games. Like Bomberman and 1-2 Switch.

But the "good" ones are Arms and Snipperclips.

You could not be more wrong. The game started off as a Wii U game, we even saw an early build of the game running on the Wii U before the Switch was even revealed.

Arms is a glorified Teleroboxer, it got boring after the test punch. Snipperclips is a small eShop game.

Splatoon 2 is practically an enhanced port like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Prime 4 won't be out for a while so that just leaves Mario Odyssey.

Look, there's a lot to like about the Switch. I really like the console and Super Mario Odyssey looks like it could easily be my game of the year, but I'm a Mario fag so I'm pretty biased. That being said, there are obvious flaws that people need to accept. Does it NEED the same quality of life features that their competitors have? No, of course not, but claiming that ignoring those features makes the console a better product as a whole is a really stupid way of thinking. I find it hard to believe that Nintendo not including a built in lobby chat somehow freed up resources to make Splatoon 2 better. I find it hard to believe that the amount of work that went into their own NES emulator justifies the $5 price tag, on top of repurchasing the same games on WiiU and 3DS, especially when Sony's doing the same shit, at a better quality, and for cheaper. Again, I like the Switch. I want it to succeed. All I'm asking for is honesty, because a lot of these Switch threads are filled with people blindly defending Nintendo and some of the excuses are fucking ridiculous.

Well, Switch is also A LOT fucking cheaper. Meanwhile, the screen is larger than a smartphone and it actually plays games, so there's a lot of value there. If you don't like any of the games, though, then that's a different story.

That being said, though, VR porn is certainly better when done right, but again the price is enormous in comparison.

The idea is, what's the point of getting a specific console for multiplats? You might as well stick with what you already have. That's why exclusives and other unique features (like Switch's portability and PS4's live streaming capabilities; although I'm sure Xbone has something similar). Saying "look at all these games" and they're mostly multiplats does not hold a lot of water.

That said, I do feel like Switch has a lot of great exclusives. Launching with Super Bomberman R was cool and Splatoon 2 and ARMS seem awesome. I personally can not fucking wait for Mario Odyssey. As much as I really like my PS4, it never had a lineup quite like this, especially in the earlier years.

I have a decent PC, and the PS4/XBone exclusives weren't enough reason for me to drop the cash on either. So I totally understand it. But I'd never sit here and say it doesn't have any games, because it does.

I bought a Wii U and a Switch because I like Nintendo games, and most of the others I can play on PC. I'm not poor, but I'm not rich, either, so I just can't justify buying the others. Ideally I'd have every console ever released, but that isn't feasible for most people.
