Honestly, I loved P5 and haven't played any Yakuza game (though I want to and will eventually), but if you're not into anime then I think Yakuza is more suited for you. Persona is like a playable anime and it has all the usual anime cliches, for better or for worse.

Well I'll just say this.
I've always been rather turned off from games having anime styles such as FE and well any visual novels, haven't touched one because I think they're stupid. And I'm also very selective about anime and only watch well established highly acclaimed shows like Cowboy Bebop, I never wanted to try highschool anime or any typical seasonal anime.
However, Persona 5 has got me really invested, and I still don't care for highschool anime or visual novels, it's just that whatever this game does, it does it good. Ever since Caroline, Atlus's anime artstyle has had a real sense of maturity about it.
In the future, I could see P5 being titled "the weeb game for people who aren't weebs".
