Slim is perfectly fine. Pro has Boost Mode for games that don't officially support Pro, but games that have locked and consistent FPS aren't affected at all by it (Persona 5 for example).

If you're going to mainly play on PS4, the Pro is a bit more worth it. I'm an idort though and I don't use PS+ so I'm not on mine nearly as much to justify the Pro's price.

slim but i dont give a shit about 4k and the framerate boost wasn't that widely supported so the pro didn't seem worth it. i bought a secondhand slim with a 1tb hdd for two hundo last year which i think was an okay deal. i only own six games for it though and really don't see too much i'd want to pick up atm so i dont think it was worth it. i'd say only go for it if you really love weebshit.

bloodborne, ffxv, nioh, until dawn, infamous, and gravity rush 2 are all i own. i enjoyed bb nioh and xv enough to get their plats and until dawn was also pretty fun but i still dont think it was worth it even for a casual side machine, really the only reason i caved was because 2016 was pretty shit for not just PC but gaming in general. this years e3 kinda sucked and even though im excited for spiderman and death stranding i still feel like it would've been no big deal if i waited until the end of the console's life span to go back and try the shit i missed when it's super cheap. i hope fromsoft show their new shit and we get some more exclusives revealed at pgw/psx because atm im debating if i should just sell this thing and save up to upgrade my 4670k to cannonlake.

Pro has me pretty miffed. I bought one at launch cause I have the money for it and figured it'd get a fair shake of support, but most games just aren't releasing g with pro support at all. The power is being totally ignored. Hopefully the xbone x makes it a little better and common for two separate patc h types. But like, I haven't seen a game with a pro patch since for honor and wildlands.

I love the better framerate and also the downscaling that it does. In terms of downscalling you should take a look at Horizon, it looks beautiful and in term of framerate, take a look at the analysis from Last Guardian done by Digital Foundry.

Even with multiplat games I couldn't bare to wait for the PC launch. Nier Automata released on PS4 a full month before PC, and I saw soooo many PCbros getting hardcore spoiled and mad about it during that period. Monster Hunter World is another example. Who knows when the PC version will be released? I don't want to miss out on the launch hype and the global servers. Playing it day1 at the same time when Jap players start is a good feel - no longer am I 1 year behind them.
