In the last year I actually bothered to put together my Steam wishlist and it grew to have over 300 titles on it. Now I'm kind of overwhelmed by the prospect of a Steam sale and can't really think of any games in particular that I'd really like to pick up. Nonetheless, I'll probably still get a few if the deals are good enough.

Can you stomach musou games? They're the most mind-numbing shit ever. You may think I'm kidding, but they're on about the same level as mobile clicker games.

I have a personal anecdote that led to my refund of DQH1 after about three hours of gameplay. I played it for a bit, really enjoying the graphics and characters (I love DQ), but I kept wondering if I was good or if the game was too easy. Then I noticed that it was neither. I literally put down my controller and watched the game for several minutes, and, surrounded by enemies, I didn't even get hurt. Jesus christ, if you haven't played them, you won't even believe how pointless an affair musou games are. They arne't games, they're toys where you press buttons to make things flash. The only way to lose is to become so distracted by the mind-numbing gameplay that you completely stop paying attention--and I mean it literally, you begin pressing buttons automatically after a while and your focus drifts away fromt he fucking game and you still win until there's a timed mission or something where you have to do something equally simple but specific (e.g. just walk somewhere on the map in under ten minutes and such).

It's a great game. Many QoL improvements over the first game, greater map variety, mod support. It is know to run badly on many PCs though but it's supposed to be fixed in the patch released together with the expansion. Wait for it if that's a problem for you.
