Cackletta's a poor example because she's the final boss. Not judging though, I love Superstar Saga and that fight.

I think a really good example is Father Gascoigne in Bloodborne. They put him right there at the beginning as if to tell you, "this is what you're in for."

on my first FM critical run, most of the regular heartless events were difficult since I was used to just decimating all of them on other difficulties before, and the fight against the heartless bosses in beasts castle, as well as cerberus were the actual difficult fights
after that boss you can synth your first 3 def accessory, so it's smooth sailing from there till I got to the new Roxas boss fight, which at lv 50 still took me like 10 tries

I'm actually playing kingdom hearts for the first time since i never played it as a kid, platinumed KHFM1 and Re:Com doing proud probably gonna 100% it and then do the critical playthrough, as you said the first couple worlds are the most difficult but from there on everything is pretty manageable it was really wierd not having roll for most of the game since you get that early in the first 2 games

After over 100 hours and multiple playthroughs I have still never beaten him.

Seymour Flux in FFX. I remember everyone was complaining about how hard he was, and I was waiting on a friend to complete the game so I could borrow it from him and start it and he was saying the same thing, that he could not beat this one boss.

Finally I was like "well the faster you beat the game the faster I get to play, so let me give it a shot". Beat him first try.

Yunalesca was harder. Until you figure out the Phoenix Down trick.
