What should I know before diving into this? I don't play JRPGs too often but I know a lot of them can get pretty obtuse with enemies that level with you so exploring makes it harder, complex monster fusion systems, all that shit.
Basically any tips so I don't get cucked end game?
There's nothing like that in Wild Arms, and enemies scaling with you is pretty rare for JRPGs. The game is pretty easy, there's no real way to fuck yourself over from what I remember.

During the "timed event" in the festival early game, you can rescue people all over the town BEFORE the timer starts.
MAKE SURE TO RESCUE EVERYONE.

Grinding up money to upgrade your ARMS is pretty time consuming. Choose a weapon, upgrade it, move on, and if things start getting too strong, then upgrade again.
The keys that can unlock those odd doors called replicators, are fairly limited in number. Choose wisely.
There are a fuck ton of bonus bosses and bonus stuff in general. If you really want to find everything, get a walkthrough. Cause there are some stuff that can end up lost forever.
