>that acid jazz soundtrack
>that striking minimalistic user interface
>those breathtaking views and environments
>focus on driving and control rather than cheap gimmicks like other racing games
>that iconic mascot

The whole thing just ties together into something I can only describe as stylish and sophisticated. Why don't we ever see anything like it again? Other racing games feel crass and childish in comparison.
