What's the next big thing for PC multiplayer?
It's been a while since I've seen some innovation, bored of the popular games and their thousand copies.

And don't get me started on early access.
>>
Yesterday's big thing was hero shooters, most died in the womb but Overwatch and Battleborn proved some popularity
Playerunknown's Battleground is the next big thing - we'll be seeing a deluge of that kind of game in the next few years

Cross-platfrom multiplayer is the next big thing for everyone.

Name one good singleplayer game

I hope it's something cooperative. I'm tired of getting shot on sight in the latest survival bullshit game.

It's doing really strongly on consoles.

Neither of these are the next big thing but I do see a trend starting with historical shooters. Day of Infamy and RS2 Vietnam are great, and while both will stay pretty niche with a low playercount they are a breath of fresh air to the multiple FPS genre. Check them out if you haven't, OP.

This is so true it hurts, I can already see the early access shitfest of poorly optimized "realistic" bg games.
