What's the point of the super ground slam power up from

While the body slam would've sufficed to break reinforced crates in Crash 2 and in Crash 3 (if you cheated to get to stages beyond Tiny without the powerup), the Super Body Slam still has a use.
The shockwave it sends out lets you smash crates and damage enemies not directly underneath Crash's body slam. This is necessary to successfully break all of the crates in Dino Might! in the bonus stage.

There's a bonus on a level that requires it, you need to use it at edge to destroy a box in the middle of a hole, without the power up it's imposible to destroy it and, since the hit box form the super ground slam is much bigger.

It actually lifts Crash up by just the tiniest bit, so using it after a double jump can help you get stuff that's normally too high.
