I've never played it so this is hype.

bump for FREE THINGS hype
It also appears that the denuvo is gone
It's a shame it's just the ICA facility. It's just the tutorial level and it's not that great, they should've just released Paris for free instead.
>>381220115
>release the best level for free
>>381220231
>make a ridiculously good impression and get a boat load more buyers
Wonder how many people are going to be interested in buying after playing the tiny tutorial level.
>>381219070
But is the always online there?
>>381220402
more than 0
>>381220497
Definitely more than zero but definitely considerably less than if they gave away a full level.
>>381218326
>always online
>still episodic
Meh
I didn't buy into that bullshit before, why should I buy into it now?
>>381220487
To unlock new things yes. But as long as you have it unlocked you can always use those things in offline mode. I honestly don't know why people are bitching ONLINE about it when they could have been playing one of the best games of 2016
>>381218326
So...a demo.
>bought the first episode in the jew enix bundle
>now it's being given away for free
oy vey
>tmw the saviours of gaming are a bunch of Danes
post yfw
>>381223668
>>381221929
It's one of the few games where the episodic format actually works.
>>381221929
First, Episodically format worked for them
Second, Buying art this point, episodic is meaningless. All the episodes are out. It's just there.
>>381223212
The first episode is Paris, it's not being given away. The training missions are.
>>381224151
>tutorials are missions
what an absolute shit show. might as well pirate the game because you're not missing anything if they're not including paris
>>381224151
Which is kind of a lame move.
They should have given Paris out for free.
>>381224026
>First, Episodically format worked for them
Yeah i dont think so, look at the sales
>>381224264
Well, you're missing Paris
>>381224026
Worked for the game, not for marketing.
The game was very well served by being released one mission at a time and allowing work to continue on other missions whole seeing response.
>>381224351
>sales prove if something works well as a game
Okay, tell me how Skyrim is a masterpiece due to great sales.
>>381218326
Hmm, how about I just download the FULL game from rarbg instead of the shitty tutorial level?
>>381224514
Was for
>>381224351
Obviously.
>release training mission for free
>when season 2 rolls along and is released fully give Paris for free
>IO earns enough money to fund Freedom Fighters 2, complete with slightly revamped Hitman cover shooting system and semi-turn based class strategy simulator like XCOM: The Bureau
>>381222197
Thanks but I don't support always online bullshit, not matter how good the game is.
>>381224579
Okay. You're not really gonna even do that though. You just like the idea of saying "lol how about I just pirate it" to get a reaction. Maybe, having been called out on that weird behaviour, you'll go so far as to find a torrent and add it to your queue just for a screenshot. Probably not, that seems like a lot of work actually. But maybe.
Either way, you're never gonna play it
>>381224558
Tell me where i said the game was bad, i said the episode shit didnt worked.
Also skyrim isnt a masterpiece nor episodic either use your brain for once moron.
>>381224630
I'm going to have to buy S2 arn't i? I bought the FULL EXPERIENCE
>>381224997
Of season 1 dummy :^)
>>381224997
It's an investment
IO are based devs stuck with terrible luck
>>381221929
>episodic is bad
except you have no argument against it.
>they do it for free
>>381224929
it did work: >>381224514
>>381224630
Not until hitman season 20
>>381225086
>>381225221
fuuug
I just really want a casino level.
>>381218326
>tfw you didn't check this game out for ages cause of /v/ memeing you
>it's actually the best stealth game in fucking years
>Denuvo removed
>Free trial
>pic related
I just pirated this yesterday, but I'm buying this shit right now. Based IO.
>>381225498
I feel bad for buying it on release. I wish Square hadn't gotten a cut of my money.
>>381225629
>tfw I gave my money to squenix
The training missions are the most kino vidya moment in recent history
>>381225812
They literally copied an entire sequence from Skyfall kino
>>381222197
Always online for single player games is was and will always be bullshit and should not be supported.
After Shitman: Absolute shit I haven't played a hitman game. I have been avoiding this game like cancer but I'm now tempted to give it a try because low price/full season. Is this the blood money 2 I have always wanted?
>>381226330
It's blood money with absolution gameplay
Nobody bought IO or Hitman
It's fucking dead, huge games like this CAN'T survive on their own
>>381226330
yes also you're a moron for avoiding a game that has nothing in common with absolution
>>381226526
>with absolution gameplay
no.
>>381226330
Try it out, it's literally free
It's very much like Blood Money and the level design is top tier but there's some Absolution residue like instinct mode. You can turn them off though.
>>381226330
I have only completed the prologue and played a bit of the paris mission but I can say it's already lightyears better than absolution. For one, this game is actually hard. The map is also fuckhuge, the paris one at least.
And the best part. The story isn't retarded non-hitman bullshit.
>>381226669
yes
>>381218326
Let us praise those noble developers who gave us a demo for free...what a time to be alive!
>>381226687
The story is retarded sadly
It starts out good then goes downhill and never recovers
The story is literally
>turns out that a shadow organization that controls everything and everyone is REAL and they existed for thousands of years
That's not cool or hitman
That's retarded
>>381226669
>>381226708
It has elements from absolution. Mostly the good elements from absolution.
>>381226875
Fuck, well at least the gameplay is fun.
>>381226687
> hard
kek
>>381226854
its IO shills, who are desperately trying to paint the financial and critical failure of releasing an episodic always online singleplayer game
you'll see the same style of posts in EVERY Hitman thread despite the game bombing completely and IO interactive being bankrupt
>advertise game in an airport
>menu reminiscent of travel tickets
>no airport level
where is it
>>381226875
The story might as well not be there tbqh, the gameplay and level design itself holds the game up on its own
Besides, when did story matter to a Hitman game?
>>381227102
It's because the missions take place around the world dumbo
>>381227102
That's why you go and buy season 2, goy.The airport/airline aesthetics is a good look to invoke feelings of a globetrotting assassin that Absolution did fuck all to install I think.
>>381227145
Always, plebeian.
>>381227389
more like not really
>>381227102
They're probably saving it for S3.
how does the game run?
i have a 770 and i7 4770k
>>381227076
Okay, here's some real talk
IO wanted to do an episodic model, they proposed it
The game lost the publisher so much money they decided to sell not only IO but the HITMAN IP as well
Even as a bundle, nobody fucking wanted them
Now they're independent, which cannot last, hitman is not a game of small production values at all
IO is to blame for hitman failing
Episodic releases lost them money, most people just bought one episode and didn't get the rest
Always online bullshit pisses people off and turned them off more
Fucking timed content, which is also garbage by the way and not even interesting
Bugs up the ass, awful performance
Cut features
Never ever listening to fan feedback, ever, not even once
Terrible side missions
Uninteresting tools
And so on, IO are just fucking idiots, these are the same people who made Absolution, don't forget that
>>381227145
Always, it's the part of the charm
It doesn't ruin a game, but it does hurt it a little bit
>>381227961
should run fine on a medium/high mix
>>381228236
cool, thanks.
>>381228121
>Cut features
like what?
>>381227961
It runs between 40-60 on my medium/high on my 760 and i5-3570k so I think you should be fine
>>381228454
A ton of stuff
Here's a neat video of some of it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdI5beIwf9I
So basically the game uses Absolution as a base, which had hostage taking for example
This was in the new hitman, but IO decided they can't be arsed to put it in
Also stuff like the most iconic thing in the entire series, a sniper suitcase, and double pistols
Nah, they didn't add any of that, instead, they add reskins of weapons non stop, boring challenges, terrible side missions and timed content
They're a shit developer, which has a few talented people working there
I'm hoping these people leave for a better studio
>>381224579
More intelligent than 100% of steam fags
The whole game on torrent is repcked to be half size and aleays offline
You win
>>381228826
Man, that's a shame. Their current position of giving unlocks as reward for challenges really puts them in a shit situation for future implementation of this.
Still, I can't think of any other Western studio the devs could be working on. I hope IO picks up their slack in the future.
>>381224763
>>381225980
Always online isn't really accurate though because you can still play the game without internet access, you're just locked out of the achievement/challenge system, which is annoying but it's not the same.
Always online is supposed to be for games that are actually always online, like how older Ubisoft games on PC would literally kick you out without saving your progress of you lost your connection.
