should I play the first two primes on the gamecube or go

Never played the Trilogy, but I did enjoy the motion controls for Prime 3, can't see how it would fuck up the other two.

metroid prime 2 original is a bit harder since the boost guardian got nerfed in the wii one.

wii one has widescreen, so if you want widescreen, go for that.

gamecube ones have the classic control scheme, so if you don't like motion controls, go with those.

graphics are surprisingly better on the GC one.

game has better "FLOW": on the trilogy but keep in mind, they're all busted because many enemies are designed expecting gamecube controls, so they're piss easy with KB&M (I'm assuming you're emulating, not actually buying a wii game)

Works great but can take a little getting used to. Make sure to rebind missiles to something like middle mouse button (Down on Wii).

I think the Wii games look nicer but I have the component cables so the analog signal is coming through ycbcr instead of RGB. I emulated Prime last year or so and it was pretty ugly, but it's still a good looking game, it's just on the GCN it's relatively shabby looking.

Graphics aren't really that different, there's two things missing from the Wii versions.
First is the beam effects like ice covering the arm cannon when you change it up since those are just sprites and wouldn't work when you can move the cannon.
Second is the ripples since those are all done through polygons instead of texture maps and the Wii didn't have enough extra power to push it to 16:9 and keep the water ripples while maintaining 60fps.

The Wii version is better. It has widescreen and the controls are better.

I honestly can't understand how people don't like the controls in the trilogy. It's better in every single way, just make sure to mess with the sensitivity settings to find the one you like best. Basic is shit, choose either Standard or Advanced.

Fuck, I only started playing Prime 2 two days ago. I'm only like maybe 4 hours in, but I didn't know this and went with normal.

Is it too easy? Should I start a new game or just go with normal for now and maybe replay it later on a harder difficulty?
