E3 this year was a mess for those trying to do business. It use to be that you could just tap somebody's shoulder, start a conversation, and possibly lead to a business opportunity. This year with all the retarded fans, not only was doing this entirely implausible, but setting up meetings was very difficult. Many of the "good stuff" was hidden this year, only accessible by appointment made way in advance, Not only that, but many companies hid inside rooms outside the halls. It might have been just me, but I also felt that many of the companies did not spend the budget to really put on a "display" as they didn't see the justification.
I admit that the E3 conference had been lacking in energy a few years, and adding the fans definitely brought it back, but at the cost of negating the initial purpose of the conference. I think a compromise would be to have a few days private just for industry professionals, and the remaining days open to the public.
Any thoughts on this?
Yup

E3 has been a fucking circus for years now. Companies just go there and try to appeal to what they think the average "gaymir" likes, and sadly a lot of people take the bait.
The less they can spend doing this, the better for them.
Besides the circlejerk and AAA showcase the naive idea behind E3 was getting the unknown developer noticed by other industry persons. Don't really care about interviews and displays.
They fucked up hard. I thought it was only 500 people, but they let in over 15,000 people and it just became a shitty con.
The lines goddamnit. Retard normies waiting in line 4 hours before the fucking thing starts. Never happened in the 6 years I've been going there. Conventions are done. We can just email and skype each other now. They're now just for the normies for a quick cash grab.
