decided ti replay and finish finished pic related. its been at least 5 years since i last played it, maybe more. I haven't felt this empty after finishing a game in a while. The characters, story, and world were so cozy and now it is just over...Vivian was best girlboy. Knowing that this game is over 10 years old and that there may never be a proper paper mario 3 just feels like shit. The fact i am having a kid soon and replaying alot of the games i grew up with maybe makes the feels hit harder. Its the feeling you get when ever you remember that you are getting older and the simple times are gone. Anyone else deal with nostalgic vidya related feels?

Time to move on bro. Be glad the good shit in your life happened and make your son's life even better. Be a man for your son to follow.

op here, i wonder if my kid will enjoy these games the way i did. When you are young games feel limitless. If feels like if you could just get past that invisible wall, that you could explore an entirely new world. Of course as you grow up you learn of game design, limitations, and everything that ends up breaking the magic.
It didn't help at the end of the credits when iwata was listed as executive producer. Today feels like a different era
The only time I've tried to play it, I stopped at the colosseum part because of exams. Then my HDD melted and I lost my save.

games today arent the same as they once were. just look at how the last three paper mario games have gone. I just hope nintendo starts listening again, which it looks like they might do considering the direction they've b going

Hopefully, as simple as the writing is in these games, you really get attached to the characters
