Just started playing Monster Hunter 3rd portable and it's really annoying how I can't move while sipping my Estus Flask.
The bear boss keeps slashing me to pieces when I take a break to heal. Is the first boss supposed to be this hard?
I can't tell if I'm doing well because there's no HP bar and the boss shows no signs of being weakened.

Sips are way too slow in this game... Is there any way to upgrade them or do I just have to git gud?
