Oblivion or New Vegas?
Which one do I play? Never played either and I'll mod the fuck out of whichever I play.

>Worst TES or Best FO?
Not hard, anon.
New Vegas
Oblivion somehow turned one of the most interesting settings in RPGs into one of the most boring.

Vivec is right.

I played FO but not FO2. Can I just jump in to NV or should I play FO2 first?

You don't have to, but there are a lot of references to 2. FO2 is a good game in it's own right.

It depends on what you're looking for. Oblivion is a modern Bethesda game which delivers the type of sandbox experience they're good at. If you just want a sandbox to play around in with mods, then Oblivion should be your choice. New Vegas shares Bethesda's engine but is much more of an RPG like the earlier Fallout games. Here, you don't really want mods (or at least be careful with them), since the world is much more intricately crafted. Choices in quests permanently affect the game world. If you want a more story focussed RPG where you interact with the world, its factions and try to find fitting solutions to quests depending on your character build, you should prefer New Vegas.
Both are pretty great games, especially with mods. I'd play whichever setting scratches the immersion itch more for you. Personally I had a ton of fun with both, but I prefer oblivion for nostalgia reasons.

After 2, they are all unrelated, aside from easter egg shit. All you need to know about the NCR is told through the game.

I think you should probably try out one of our NEWER™ titles such as Skyrim™ or Fallout™ 4™. Those two are obviously obsolete titles, and dont represent what true modern gamers are looking for. PLUS, we have our new Purely Awesome Innovative Developer mods rolling out soon. Again, I really think you should rethink your decision.
New Vegas it is then. I'll play Oblivion after though. Thanks /v/, off to find mod guide and resources now.
