Jeanne is really good for launch content but she falls off hard to the point where she's currently considered one of the worst 5*s in the game in current Jp content. Still plenty usable though

Your first roll will be from a very limited pool of all 4* servants. Heracles is clearly the top choice if you are going for the best. Past that, you going to be put through a tutorial and given quartz as a result. You can do a standard roll of all the available servants at that point, which could be anything from 3*-5*. If you plan on rerolling, then you'll probably want a decent starting servant and shoot for a 5* in the later roll.

Although really, the game isn't that difficult and servant stats aren't related to their star rating, so you could put together a team of 3* and freebies and still do well.

No. The main story's easy enough that you can use whoever you like, though having team synergy is certainly preferred. Not sure if you are referring to Avengers in general, or the characters I mentioned. I'm considering an Avenger in order to get around the Ruler resistance to Casters, plus the Rider disadvantage. Plus, Gorgon has a A++ Endurance, to match the silly good endurance from Edison and Babbage.

I meant all of those servants you listed, Avengers the 5* avengers are pretty good, 4*s a little lackluster. Defense is kind of weak in the game, you can make stall teams and whatnot but you'd almost need something to give everyone an invul because getting hit by an enemy servant's NP is an almost guaranteed death during the hard boss battles in events.

Your team will still be fine for doing the main story and some of the easier events. Maybe you could try a Berserker like Nightingale for healing and to get past Rulers and Riders. Rulers aren't really that big of a deal, they only appear like twice in the story. Riders will be a huge pain in the ass in Orleans so you might end up just using a bronze assassin since it happens way before any of those servants appear in the gacha.

Thematic teams are pretty fun though. I've been using an all Alter team for awhile.

Tamamo: She was a limited when she appeared during the first Halloween event, then was added to the general pool. She had increased appearance rates during Halloween, so that was the best time to grab her. She is also just a matter of rolling enough.

Shiki: Limited servant, although she has appeared in more than one event so you'll get more than one chance of getting her. Needless to say, getting a single character during an event is rather difficult. She also has a 4* Assassin version from the same event, so at least you are somewhat likely to pull one.

Passionlip: limited during an event. 4* is a bit more reasonable than 5*, but we are talking 1% vs 3% here.

Beast III/R: this is an NPC and not summonable. You probably are looking for Sessyoin Kiara, a 5* from a limited event, and basically the servant version of that character. Same rules apply for other 5*'s in limited events.

Doesn't FEH have something like 3%, and yet half the characters you pull will have some shitty natures which hurt their ability to do whatever? Sure, you can upgrade them from lower rankings, but that's 10,000 feathers or whatever and not something you'll have immediately. Plus, most of the best summons are 5* only.

The real bullshit is the 4* rate (3%) and that materials are included, meaning you can try summoning a servant and end up with useless junk instead.
