I thought you could pick multiple? I know I checked for hard mode since I unironically like the combat a lot but felt it was too easy. I had the most fun with the game when tackling the dungeons way under leveled like going to the sewers at like level 15-20 or Costlemark at like level 40. Shit was always hectic and I felt really pressured to use my magic and items strategically or I'd run out. I want a hard mode where parrying isn't as easy and items are limited (maybe cooldown?). Enemies don't really need to get harder since the AI partners already shit the bed with most enemies anyway.

There isn't a fishing expansion. The VR is just a self contained VR thing. Prompto gets pushed off the train naturally within the story, and Ignis gets blinded while he was seperated from Noctis during the Leviathan battle which also is something that happens naturally in the story progression.

Gladio's is the only one that had him leave so they could find a place to fit a DLC episode for him. which is why they had him leave during a part of the game where he didn't need to be with the party which was chapter 7 when you're going through steyliff ruins with Aranea.

In one of the earlier chapters a daemon Naga kidnaps Prompto and even starts talking, and Prompto is the one who is constantly asking questions about MTs and Daemons too, you also learn that MTs were created from Daemons and that people turned into daemons before episode Prompto even takes place
