BotW had the benefit of an absurdly long development time and huge resources from a company biding their time. HZD didn't. Guerilla was publish or perish and cut every corner they could. You think they had time for gold polishing? BotW had time for like 5 layers of gold polishing

The simple reality is, HZD is what you can reasonably expect from a modern AAA video game with a realistic budget and schedule. Its not perfect, its not amazing, its not filled with insane amounts of content or detail. Its passable. Zelda is an outlier because this game was supposed to come out like 4 years ago
