The first game has some of the funnest bosses in the entire genre, really is a shame how lacking Bayonetta is in that department (outside of Jeanne and Balder) compared to Joe and DMC1.

And it's an even bigger shame how no bosses in that game come to close to the absolute ludo of the Vergil and Azel fights from DMC3 and God Hand. I'm afraid those fights will never be topped.
