Have you ever watched or played something that just resonated with you so emotionally because of where you are in life?

Gravity Rush 2 was that game for me. The best part is it wasn't just the plot, but it was the gameplay as well.

My life went to shit due to severe mental illness. I couldn't even leave my own house for years, and I still can't really. It's always been this way ever since childhood. My health is going to shit too, I spend most of the day worrying I won't be able to go to the Doctor in time to stop me from dying.

To be able to play a game where I could just fucking fly was amazing. Then the whole game was about not losing hope. Anyone who has fought the true final boss should know what I'm talking about. I can't listen to the main theme song anymore after I found out the lyrics were all about families who were seperated.

And fucking DLC Raven saving all the children. Shit like that just gets to me man even if it doesn't make sense.

I don't know why people think this is supposed to be a negative about the game when it's not.
One of the most important things about writing a character is that they can not be perfect. That would be a Mary Sue. This demonstrates that. She's being a cocky fuck by thinking she can handle a gun, then being a dumb fuck for messing it up and finally to top it off, they blame the gun itself. That's not a poorly written character, it's just the character itself that's written as a shitty person.
The fact that so many people get annoyed with her is a good example of the writer succeeding in what he set out to do.
