I liked the Shadow Warrior reboot, but the trailer made me more hyped than the actual game

It's a fine game, but it was nothing like the original Shadow Warrior. The trailer made it seem like some wacky 80s action movie type of game, but in reality it was like Serious Sam/Painkiller lite. Again, it's not a bad game, just a bit underwhelming and not as good as the original.

That trailer still gets me hyped even though I have already played the game.

They both suffer from very similar problems, that being that they were obviously rushed and falls apart near the end.
But I'd say MGS V, just because of everything around the game is so much worse than FFXV.

FFXV at least has the luxury of getting new content that will "fix" it, as much as possible at least. MGS V will ALWAYS stay unfinished, and will forever taint the legacy Kojima had created.

MGS4 should've been the end of the Snake saga. I wished we could've had a soft reboot with an all new cast, with maybe a grown up Sunny as a cameo or something. I just really like playing MGS and want new games for that reason.

At least that game was finished. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was a solid conclusion for all the characters, there wasn't really much left to explore, except maybe a Raiden spin off, like the original plans for MGR.

MGS V is like if a series was cancelled before its final season.
