Yeah - part of me wants to get it on PC because it'll run better and some of my friends will actually get it so I can play with them.
On the other hand, Destiny was basically made to be a comfy couch console shooter, so I can't help but feel that feeling will be lacking on PC.

The PC version looks great and makes the console version look like a total ripoff, but I think that the playerbase will last longer on console. Very few people play PvE exclusively so the PvP has to be good enough to keep people hooked, and PC players have many better options than Destiny for PvP.

It's a pretty competent shooter. It suffers if you don't have people to play with though, but there are websites for that.

I'd say so, but make sure you have your expectations straight. It's not an open-world game but a loot-based action RPG. You do missions and raids for RNG drops, but the raids are great and demand good coordination. Still, you have to be prepared to do the same few activities over and over again in hopes of having the right gear drop. If that doesn't sound like fun then this won't be for you.
The PC version comes out almost two months after the console version so you can just wait and see how the game turns out.
