When I played, it was hands down the most obvious ult in the game because you could hear it literally anywhere in the map. The entire reason he's picked so much in Grandmaster is his Speed Boost, and that AoE healing is helpful when the Mercy is busy with someone else or Damage Boosting. Especially since they increased his healing and upped his damage, he's even more useful. Sound Barrier is also a very helpful ult to go with a big push or protect form an enemy push.

She requires proper heals to do her job which is why defending her healers is essential. You'll get the feel to play her aggressively and defensively as you play more of her, the key thing about being aggressive is to know whether you'll be able to get that kill if you do fly in and be in their faces and will your teammates follow up otherwise stay safe with her.

As for defense matrix and managing it, it's a wide area of effect that works at an angle and you need to get a feel for what attacks to block and which ones to ignore. A junkrat/pharah spam, a soldier's rocket flying towards your teammates, zarya's ults and etc. There's no point wasting DM on stuff like lucio's shots or enemy D.va's trickle shots.

This. Orisa may have a weak gun and no mobility, but give her a good healer and she's nearly impossible to move both literally and figuratively. Barriers every 8 seconds that can be placed anywhere is incredibly helpful and strong, Fortify tells anyone trying to CC her to fuck off while keeping her damage taken low, and Halt! is great for annoying the enemy and for pulling enemies out of hiding places and off cliffs and into teammates' attacks. Plus her gun while weak fires for 13 seconds continuously and is good for suppression fire.

Personally I think she'd be even better with these simple changes:

Zenyatta is my favorite champion. Hes actually stupid easy to get POTG of the game with too, since he actually has a bunch of DPS, and he'll be healing someone the entire time he is doing that.

1. is half the size of a payload
2. has absolutely no mobility and her gun slows her down
3. has a huge headbox that can be hit from all directions
4. has Armor instead of Shield, paradoxically making her the squishiest tank in the game because she only has 400 health and unlike Zarya half of it can't regenerate on its own

She's one of the better tanks for attacks because of her kit. She can somewhat hold down an area that your team may need and then expand the said area without putting your self in too much risk.

Lay down shield whenever you can. If you are on attack, keep on tossing the shield forward a bit to push, granted the situation permits and your team is backing you up with damage. Don't forget that fortify exists, use it when the enemy fire is really heavy and they got through your shield even before the cool down is up. Do save it however when there's an enemy with a potentially deadly CC like Reinhardt, Roadhog, etc.

The most important thing is to learn how to use her HALT properly. You have no idea how useful it is. See a motherfucker on the side of an edge? Use that green ball to pull them off. See an enemy team hiding behind their tank? Use Halt to pull the said tank into the air or aside, you won't kill anything in that few seconds of the enemy team being exposed but thats enough time for you to get in some damage and if your team is good that's enough time for a kill.

Fuck his Scatter Arrow horseshit. 450 goddamned damage every 10 seconds, and even Orisa's 200 Armor doesn't block enough to not make it a OHKO, literally the only characters who can survive it are Reinhardt, Winston, D. Va, and Roadhog and Hanzo can immediately kill them with a follow-up arrow.

The worst part is Hanzo mains will go absolutely berserk if you mention this and say it needs changing. Most of them can literally kill people only with it.

Horizon Lunar Colony seems to be the answer to the other three Assault maps, it's enormous and has lots of paths and high ground, plus the overall layout favors the attackers instead of the defenders. And for once nearly 100% of the map is usable, even the outside section since it links a low-ground spot to a high-ground spot a few steps away from point A.

The irony is though that OP's complaint about Junkrat actually has him be a very good hero at those specific opening parts of the Assault maps to be able to help break through the chokepoints. I may even extend Junkrat's usefulness to the first chokepoint bridge area in Eichenwalde. He's not very useful on any other maps.

Junkrat is good on Attack in Assault, Escort, and Hybrid maps because he is good at breaking up defenses, especially barriers. He's also generally useful in Control maps because he can spam the point with grenades and booby traps making life hell for the enemy team. On Defense Junkrat's not very good since usually the enemy team is so spread out and he can't watch all the paths in at once.

He's very average at best on the non-assault maps outside of Eichwalde and his saving grace on those other maps are the steel traps and mine more than his attack mode. There are better more useful picks to take over Junkrat on those other maps and this is coming from someone with a racked playtime of over 300 hours on Junkrat and Diamond in competitive play. I've played enough time in that hero to know the intricacies of his kit with things like knowing how to angle shots on King's Row attack from the top of the spot to bounce off the base of the statue and into the control point that can reach the telephone booth. Believe me I know a ridiculous amount of angle points for his shots on many of the maps but when you're doing comp play and you want to cover all aspects of your team for damage and utility otherwise for particular maps there are other picks to play over Junkrat.
