This is one of the most unique moments in recent time that is criminally painted in a bad light by those who are corrupt.
What caused this and why was so much shady shit going on and exposed all at once.
I've always known game journalists and some game devs were garbage and pro-SJW, but back then they were a nuisance and not influential enough to make a huge difference. When GG happened, it caused a massive shitstorm.
Why did gamergate happen when other entertainment industries willingly gave in to SJW bullshit?

It was all flowers and dandelions until someone dug too deep and found government involvement, and then the media started to turn against that, and even at 1% efficiency we couldn't fight that, and it became a huge shit show. In the end, nobody had the morale for it, and those that cared enough have just abandoned video games and accepted that propaganda is always going to be successful against the human species and there ain't SHIT to be done about it.
tl;dr corruption and government collusion exists as it always has and always will so you can cry about it if you really want to I guess
